Great music, old memories, and the luck of a coin flip created the collaboration seen today. But where did it all begin?
This story goes back to 1999 when five students at a college in New Jersey put together a band to play at the school's annual student showcase. Brining great presence and performance, they became a staple of the shows through graduating in 2001. From there, lead singer, Stephen Gallagher, and drummer, Jason Lutz, kept the name alive over the years though various recording and sound projects.
After years on musical hiatus, moves, and the passing of original drummer, Jason, in 2019, Stephen ventured back into the world of music. Taking the chance auditioning for an area band, he met guitar player Jim, Masker and bass player LG. The three found a great chemistry having similar influences and styles, and decided to create their own group with the vision of bringing great quality music and performance to the Northeastern Indiana area. Joining as drummer, Drew Malloy completed the group.
Then came the name. Ideas bounced around. The vibe was right to bring back a name built with friendship and love of great music. Votes were made. A coin was tossed. Midnight Eclipse was reborn.
